The Telecommunication Department is responsible for formulating, implementing, and overseeing sector policies and regulations as well setting sector standards and compliance.

• Preparing studies to develop sector in the country;

• Evaluating policies, work strategy, and the sectors’ guidelines

• Enhancement of telecom infrastructure development for socio-economic development;

• Development and facilitation of the implementation of ICT infrastructure Broadband Strategy;

• Facilitation of the application of telecom and access to ICT Infrastructure and services;

• Ensuring of a secure environment to promote confidence in the use of telecommunications;
