The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism is the lead Galmudug State body mandated to formulate State Media policies, laws and regulations related its remit of Information, Communications and Social Media. Its mandate also include:
- Setting and overseeing industry standards
- Development and growth of State Media infrastructure and Social Media
- Protecting the interests of consumers
- Fostering of knowledge-based economy and information society
In performing its duties, the MOI is guided by the Constitution of the Galmudug State of Somalia and other relevant Laws.
